The AGS Technology Expo was designed to help parents gain insight on how your children and the AGS community can learn more effectively with technological classroom tools. However, we as a PTO can’t do it alone—it takes a team, and we need your help.

What does this plan look like? Bottom line, to turn this goal into reality, we need to raise $200K. We know this won’t be done overnight—which is why we need to establish realistic goals as well as a long-range plan. If we look at the current AGS student body, we have just over 300 families. Reaching the set goal amounts to $650 per family. That is a lot of money, so we need to put on our thinking caps and get creative on how to raise this amount—be it through donations, corporate sponsorships and/or grants, bake sales—you name it. But we need every family’s help in reaching this goal.

This is why we have formed five committees to help make our technological vision a reality:

  • Communications
  • Marketing
  • Grant writing
  • Finance
  • Strategy

We encourage you to volunteer for one of these committees, and to make a difference in your child’s life, as well as the children who will follow in their footsteps at AGS. Please consider your strengths, or those of fellow parents that you know, and fill out this form to help share in this vision. Together, we can do great things. But it’s going to involve the efforts of everyone.

Last Market Day of the School Year!

Watch  your backpack for the Market Day flyer!

As the school year is winding down, so is the Gator Gold program for this school year. We will have one final order placed on Friday, May 25th. Please be thinking about shopping that you might want to do over the summer, teacher gifts, etc. and place your order by 10:00am on Friday, May 25th. We have a few cards in stock from the following retailers...Aeropostale, American Eagle, Arby's, Applebees, Best Buy, Caribou Coffee, Chipotle, i-Tunes, Sweet Tomatoes, and Wendy's. We also have about $300 in Woodman's certificates remaining. You may place your order three ways...send it in to school with your child, email Debbie Nelson (tdnelson5 at sbcglobal dot net)  or call Debbie Nelson.

So far we have raised over $2100 for the AGS PTO. This is such an easy program. A couple of AGS parents had monthly standing orders including one who ordered $500 in Woodman's monthly to do her grocery shopping. This resulted in $25 monthly to the PTO or $200 during the school year. If 50 AGS parents did the same, it would generate $10,000 a school year to the PTO, solely through the sales of Woodman's certificates.

Need a new Order Guide? More are available in the school lobby (flagpole and office entrances) or view it online at www.marketday.com.

Market Day accepts the LINK card as payment. Market Day offers a 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with any of your items.
